Wendy is an addiction counsellor with more than 20 years’ experience supporting people affected by substance use and compulsive behaviours. She has specialist training in compulsive sexual behaviour disorder (CSBD) and problematic pornography use, and a special interest in how CSBD and PPU affect women.
Wendy offers a warm, direct and non-judgemental space to explore what is happening beneath a behaviour, including the roles of shame, relationships and past experiences. She works collaboratively with clients to help them make changes that feel meaningful and sustainable.
Alongside her counselling practice, Wendy is the founder and CEO of First People Housing CIC, which provides supported accommodation for people recovering from homelessness and addiction. She is a registered member of the BACP and a trustee of ATSAC. She runs a training company and is completing her Masters in Addiction Psychology and Counselling at London South Bank University.
