Also known as Compulsive Sexual Behaviour Disorder (CSBD), sex addiction is often misunderstood. It’s more than just problematic behaviour and it’s frequently linked to deeper emotional or psychological challenges.
Our approach to sex addiction therapy goes beyond surface-level symptom control as we combine different therapeutic techniques to help you understand what’s driving your behaviour, and how to take back control. Our therapists use an integrative model, combining psychoeducation, psychodynamic therapy, psychosexual therapy, and cognitive-behavioural techniques. We also incorporate trauma therapy interventions such as EMDR and IFS where appropriate. For more about our approach, see our therapy approach.
Not sure if you need sex addiction therapy?
When it comes to problematic sexual behaviours, it can be hard to tell where the line is. How much is too much? Maybe I just have a high sex-drive? If you’re not sure whether you’re addicted or not, we offer two ways to help you figure it out:
- Try our online, free self-assessment tool: Am I an Addict?
- Book an initial assessment session through our Talk to a Therapist service
What if porn is the main problem?
If your concerns are more about pornography use than offline sexual behaviours, check out our dedicated Porn Addiction Therapy page. Whilst the acting-out behaviours may differ, our services are suitable for both sex and porn addiction, and all our therapists are expertly trained in both.

Whether you’re looking for clarity, structure or in-depth support, we’re here to help.
