Saidat embarked on his counselling training journey in 1999 – completing in 2011 whilst working as a volunteer in a drugs/alcohol high street agency, and then into management of these services. He later joined the NHS as a local substance misuse commissioner, before making a career change, providing psychotherapy in private practice.
Saidat’s approach to psychotherapy is influenced by his own eventful and often challenging life experiences which gives him deeper empathic insight into people’s problems, past and present, and a greater understanding of why particular behaviours are adopted and used as coping mechanisms. In his spare time away from work – he enjoys Yoga, Pilates and is a keen golfer.
