    Facts! Yes! 100%! Although addiction is a real thing, I think you were addicted to alcohol, porn, sex etc., you simply broke these addictions one by one. But ultimately what you're saying underpins the difference between abstinence and recovery. Recovery means learning to live your life mindfully, not just stopping unwanted numbing/exciting/escapist behaviour.
